Somehow, I've been fortunate enough to have the most popular post on LinkedIn, ahead of Bill Gates and Jack Welch. ​This week we've all been waking up to this blue banner across Google's homepage.

What is it? Well If you click learn more, then you'll find information on Google's updated Shared Endorsements. From 11 November Google says "we may show your name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads." Shared Endorsements cover comments, "follows" and other actions people do on Google+ a development from their 1+'d "likes" on ads that have been in place since 2011.

Karen Finerman "Tells All" To Sallie Krawcheck

To a standing room only crowd and a waiting list almost as large (note to self: bigger room next time), acclaimed hedge fund manager, tv host, and author Karen Finerman candidly shared her "secrets" with Sallie Krawcheck.  They ranged from how she trades (6-12month view), how she now sees markets differently (thanks to 24-hour financial media!), and when she knew staying home with the kids was not an option for her (age 12).
